ADVOCATE FORÂ CHANGE!
ACCA designation holders continue to face a legislative barrier in Ontario which unfairly restricts ACCA members’ ability to refer to their hard-earned designations. This prohibition discourages immigration of internationally qualified accountants to Ontario and limits access by Ontario residents and businesses to critical non-public accounting services. This needs to change.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), on behalf of our members and future members, has been advocating for a change to this unnecessary red tape. As part of our advocacy efforts, we are encouraging members and future members, like you, to reach out to your local candidates in the 2025 provincial election to discuss this issue, to ensure they are aware of it and encourage them to act to remove this legislative barrier.
If you agree, use the tool below to email your candidates today and tell them you support a modest amendment to the CPAO Act in order to remove unnecessary red tape and help ACCA members find good local jobs in Ontario.
